I am Psychotherapist / Clinical Social Worker registered with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW). I hold a Master’s degree in Social Work and a BA in Psychology. I am a bilingual, Spanish-speaking therapist who works with adults, adolescents and families. I am currently providing both In-Person sessions in Toronto and Virtual sessions across Ontario.
I have many years of experience working in a community hospital mental health clinic and in private practice working with individuals and families struggling with various mental health issues. Some of these include anxiety, worry, mood disorders, adjustment and relationship issues, loss, family conflict, emotional abuse, trauma, and multicultural barriers. As an experienced and compassionate clinician, I provide a safe place where individuals can work to gain insight, learn strategies to improve their ability to cope, and find balance and a sense of well-being in their lives. I am trained to use strategies from cognitive behaviour therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT), narrative therapy, and family systems interventions.
I offer the lived experience for those struggling to navigate the mental health system in supporting their families. I have held the role of Chapter Leader in Parents For Children’s Mental Health as a family support group facilitator since 2013.
Outside of my professional life, I enjoy volunteering my time in many mental health initiatives and areas of health and wellness. Maintaining a balance of healthy mind and body is important to me, so I devote time in nature with cycling.
